Veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan is known for never mincing her words. From talking rudely to the paparazzi and expressing her thoughts with blunt statements she often makes the headlines. While her straightforward personality is lauded by the netizens, many even call her out. She is currently appearing on her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast What The Hell Navya, where her candid confessions are taking the internet by storm. In the recent episode of the second season of the show, she and her daughter Shweta Bachchan spoke to Navya at length about modern dating.

The 75-year-old actress even shared her two cents on what according to her can be considered red flags in a relationship. Talking about it on the podcast, she revealed that in a relationship, bad manners are considered a red flag. She hates it when someone refers to their partner as tum or tu as it is very disrespectful. Quote by Bollywood Life, Bachchan said, “I hate it when people say ‘tu’ or ‘tum.’ Have you ever heard me referring to nana (grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan) as ‘tum?’ It feels disrespectful.” ALSO READ: THROWBACK! Further adding to her mother’s point, Shweta added that violence of any form, be it physical or verbal is a red flag for her. She stated that a person should behave or do things their partner doesn’t fight. She even went on to add that if a person says sorry to their partner after a fight, they should not drag it out. For the unversed, Navya is a graduate of New York's Fordham University. She is the co-owner of Aara Health, an online platform that discusses health issues. Last year, she hosted a podcast ‘What The Hell Navya’ alongside her grandmother Jaya Bachchan, and mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda where she addressed topics relating to women's health and hygiene. This year she is back with a second season of her podcast.

On the work front, Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Karan Johar’s directorial comeback Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Co-starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and others, the movie follows the journey of Rocky Randhawa and Rani Chatterjee, who hail from contrasting family backgrounds. To get married they come up with a plan to stay with each others’ families so that they can get to know each other better. The movie was released on the big screens on July 28th and is currently streaming on Prime Video.
